The Wave Engulfer™ is totally submerged and mounted offshore above the seabed. It does not interfere with shipping, and it is environmentally friendly. It offers a new solution for controlling the wave climate.

The Wave Engulfer™ is expected to be able to modify the wave climate to the extent that beach erosion can be prevented. This is an alternative to beach replenishment, groins, breakwaters, etc., all of which have negative side effects on the environment.

Wave tank tests have given encouraging results: The device appears capable of removing well over 90% of the wave energy.
