Holder Tube

This polycarbonate tube is 900 mm long. If you want a shorter holder tube, simply cut the top off to the desired length (using a saw or a pipe cutter). The bottom end is threaded to fit the anchor. Every time the anchor is retrieved there is a risk of scratching. Use a new tube for critical missions.

Anchor

Screw for the holder tube. Use the handle to screw this anchor down into the sediment with the holder tube attached. Pull off the handle and insert the SediMeter in the tube. Secure with the yellow finger screw. Diameter 100 mm. Made from marine grade stainless steel (316 / A4). It has a thread for the tube and a bayonet for the handle.

Handle

Handle for screwing down the anchor into the sediments, and for retrieving it again at the end of the mission. You only need one handle (and possibly one as backup) no matter how many SediMeters you have.

Made from anodized aluminium in contrasting colors for good visibility. Cotter pin in stainless steel (marine grade, 316 / A4).

Memory card

SD or MMC memory card, size depending on availability (128 MB to 2 GB). We try to find low-power cards. If you buy in a store, a tip is to get the smallest memory possible with the oldest technology, since the development in general is towards more and more energy-demanding cards. [NB: High density cards do not work.]
